Another one for the masses. Hope you get it, and if you don't, look for the definition of MILF, he-he... These guys are certainly not playing down the naughtiness factor anytime soon. Well, more power to them!
The ad campaign for the third season of True Blood has kicked off in gloriously gruesome fashion. Poster No.1 out of 12 overall is now available for your viewing pleasure, as well as to inform you that the vampire series will be hitting the HBO screens (and the torrent world) on Sunday, June 13. 'Till then, we expect many more goodies to come our way.
I have shown quite a bit of resentment towards vampire flicks since Twilight kicked off the latest blood-drinking trend but I can still appreciate a healthy dose of fanged antiheroes when it comes my way. Proof no.1: I am eagerly anticipating Daybreakers. Proof no.2: well, look at the posters below - while not all of them are good movies, they at least show something radically different from the same-old-same-old that's being packaged and repackaged nowadays. My favorite of the pack would have to be Near Dark, a severely under-appreciated movie if there ever was one. Oh, and of course, the artwork above is another brilliant piece of guerrilla marketing from True Blood's team.
It's True Blood promo billboard, so of course it's brilliant. Did you miss the last one? Check it out here. By the by, the second season was tons better than the first one!
I haven't mentioned True Blood in a while but that doesn't mean I've turned my back on the show. On the contrary: at this point in time, I don't think it's physically possible to skip a single episode of the damn thing, it's that addictive. Plus, I love the show's advertising; it seems to be the most creative currently out there, combining tangible edginess and mass appeal with such an ease, it's insulting. Enlarge and enjoy!
I stumbled on True Blood a few weeks ago, and I must say I'm mightily impressed by the first four episodes. Created by the team behind Six Feet Under, this relatively new show is about a world where vampires attempt to live along humans, and where humans for some reason are completely out of their freakin' minds. Well, the 1st season of the show has made a big splash apparently, and the 2nd season will be kicking things off in big fashion come June 14, so let this post serve you as a reminder or eye-opener, whatever you prefer.
Danse Macabre is a kick ass radio show dedicated to the meisters of the horror genre. The shows blasts the airwaves with a special theme every Friday from 00:00 - 02:00 CET. On April 10, 2009, episode 1: "Invitation to Dance" ran all the way to Valhalla.
